NEET Examination Day: What to Expect?

The NEET exam is scheduled to be held soon. The exam will be conducted in pen-and-paper mode at designated exam center across India.

Here is a comprehensive guide on what to expect on the NEET exam day:

  1. Exam Timings and Reporting:

  • The NEET exam will be conducted from 2:00 PM to 5:20 PM.
  • Candidate are advised to reach the exam center at least 1 hour before the reporting time.
  • Late come will not be allowed to enter the exam hall.
  1. Exam Center Regulations:

  • Candidate must carry their original admit card along with a valid photo ID proof.
  • Electronic device such as mobile phone, calculator, and smartwatche are strictly prohibited inside the exam hall.
  • Candidate are not allowed to carry any study material or note inside the exam hall.
  • Candidate are not allowed to leave the exam hall before the exam is over.
  1. Exam Dress Code:

  • Candidate are advised to wear light and comfortable clothing.
  • Long sleeve are not allowed.
  • Shoe are not allowed inside the exam hall. Candidates are advised to wear sandals with low heel.
  1. Exam Pattern:

  • The NEET exam will consist of 200 multiple-choice questions(MCQs).
  • The question will be based on the NCERT syllabus for Physics, Chemistry, and Biology for classes 11 and 12.
  • The exam will be conducted in English, Hindi, Assamese, Bengali, Gujarati, Kannada, Marathi, Malayalam, Odia, Punjabi, Tamil, Telugu, and Urdu.

  • Each correct MCQ will carry 4 marks.
  • There is no negative marking for incorrect answer.
  1. Tie-Breaking:

In case of a tie between two or more candidates, the following tie-breaking rule will be applied:

  • Candidate with higher mark in Biology will be given preference.
  • If the mark in Biology are also the same, candidate with higher mark in Chemistry will be given preference.
  • If the mark in Biology and Chemistry are also the same, candidate with higher marks in Physics will be given preference.
  • If the mark in all three subjects are also the same, the candidate with the higher age will be given preference.

NEET Results: When and How to Check?

The NEET results are expected to be released soon. The National Testing Agency (NTA) will announce the exact date on the official website, nta.nic.in.

Candidates can check their results by following these steps:

  1. Visit the official website of NTA, nic.in.
  2. Click on the link for NEET result.
  3. Enter your roll number and date of birth.
